Saudi nuclear plan gets green light
By The Media Line News AgencyThe Saudi Arabian cabinet has decided to approve the country’s agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the protocols and application of safeguards under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the Saudi newspaper Arab News reported.

While the Saudis aren’t viewed as a threat, and don’t have the missiles needed to make nuclear weapons (but they obviously have the money to buy them), I’m still unsure that more nuclear power in that part of the world is a good idea. After all, there are a lot of terrorists that call Saudi Arabia home…
Infrastructure ministry, Prime Minister’s Office officials seriously discuss establishing nuclear power plant for production of electricity. Experts say construction could take at least eight years.

In all seriousness, nuclear power gets a bad rap as energy sources go. If a nation wants to be independent of energy from others and use a clean source, they need to go nuclear.
