Say what you will about The Daily Show, this is funny stuff. Also, if anyone wants to let me in on the difference between private property and personal property, I’d be forever grateful!

Yeah, this is a little troubling.

My first first thought when I saw this story was, “wow, you have to be a pretty brave person to throw an elbow at the President!” However, I now think that Rey Decerega, the elbower, must have a big brass set. Not only did he elbow Obama in the mouth, this was his response:

“I learned today the president is both a tough competitor and a good sport,” the statement said. “I enjoyed playing basketball with him this morning. I’m sure he’ll be back out on the court again soon.”

As Matt Drudge pointed out, he didn’t even bother to offer a public apology! That’s a vicious competitor right there!

On whether he thinks his brother Jeb will ever be President:

“I wish he would. He has to run first. And he has made it clear he is not running in 2012. And when the man says, ‘I’m not running,’ he means it. I wish he would run.

In a lot of ways, I feel sorry for Jeb Bush. Don’t get me wrong, dad & brother are big government Republicans, so I wouldn’t expect any different from Jeb. However, from what I’ve heard, Jeb is the “smart” Bush (though I think the others aren’t dumb, just had some problems with presentation). Unfortunately for him, but most likely fortunate for us, he comes from a family who’s brand name is very damaged. If he were to ever be President, I don’t think he could hope for anything sooner than a 2020 run, but I’m pretty much convinced his family is done in that office…unless a grandchild or someone younger than that comes along later.

That being said, I’m not a fan of unions. I’m pretty sure an organization that keeps incompetent employees from being fired is contrary to how a free market is suppose to work.

Yeah, that’s hardly a shocker considering all that’s gone on since his election. You don’t get reactions like the Tea Party when people approve of what you’re doing.

Now, will Obama actually be booted from office in a couple of years? Honestly, I doubt it. My expectation right now is that the Republicans will gain the majority in the House and Senate, not make the changes people want, thus causing the voting public to swing back to the Democrats to fix what’s wrong. Ultimately, I think we’re stuck with the current state of the country, and neither side will change anything.

I’m no conspiracy theorist, but I do find myself wondering why such a big deal is being made of Swine Flu when it’s no more dangerous than the plain ol’ seasonal flu.
